How tax-default sales work in North Dakota

When a parcel becomes eligible. Property has completed county tax-forfeiture/tax-deed process before investor-facing sale.

When sales happen. Tax-deed property is offered at annual county sale under Ch. 57-28; statutory annual sale is generally the third Tuesday in November.

How bidding works. Public sale; highest qualifying bid at or above statutory minimum.

What the winning bidder gets. County tax-deed real property. Owner redemption after the sale: No.
